Bouquet of amazing depth and definition. Ripe black current fruit characters dominate, and are beautifully backed by high quality French oak and subtle tobacco leaf notes.  The black current fruits run the length of the palate and provide the focus from which the palate builds on.  There is great balance to the wine with firm yet supple tannins and French oak combining harmoniously

2011 Mia Valley Estate Reserve Shiraz, Heathcote VIC 60
Mia Mia is from the aboriginal language and means little hut or temporary shelter. This shiraz has spice & pepper on the nose, leading to cherry and light plum with fine integrated tannins enhancing the full palate.

2006 Wayne Thomas Shiraz, McLaren Vale SA 120
This is indeed a magnificent Shiraz Totally opaque black in colour with black crimson hue. The wine clings to the walls of the glass. Top note of vanilla, spice, liquorice and blackberry. Voluptuous, mouth filling palate and excellent weight. Strong flavours of black pepper, black cherry, spice and blackberry emerge. Fine grained tannins, perfect balance, followed by very long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberry, dark chocolate and vanilla.
